Tupperware Selects RedDot’s CMS to Create Online Ease of Use and Mass Appeal
Tupperware UK is a new member in RedDot’s customer spotlight. The company’s mission was to convey its large product portfolio to its customers and to provide distributors with up-to-date information. Tupperware also had a need to establish a content management system (CMS) simple enough for non-technical staff to contribute to their websites using a seamless graphical interface.
Since Earl Tupper introduced the first products over 50 years ago, Tupperware has continued to lead its market and the innovation continues even today and they are constantly finding new and exciting ways to enhance and develop the product. Some of the new products can be frozen to -40°C and heated to over 230°C! The vast product range means that there is something for everyone, whether it be storing, freezing, microwaving, preparing or serving.
With over 25 authorised Tupperware Distributorships, they cover all areas of the British Isles - Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland. Tupperware now reaches nearly 100 markets around the world, offering culturally distinct items such as the Kimchi Keeper, the Kimono Keeper and the Japanese Bento Box.
A network of Tupperware Distributors and Managers bring quality products direct to your home (so that you can choose at your leisure the items which best suit your needs and your Demonstrator will deliver it to your door). This method has become so successful that now, a Tupperware demonstration happens every two seconds around the world!
In order to convey its large product portfolio to its customers and provide its distributors with up to date information, Tupperware created a Web environment that is recognisable for its ease of use. Requiring a content management system (CMS) that had a similar focus it was no suprise that RedDot was selected. Allowing non-technical staff to contribute to their websites using a simple graphical interface, Tupperware UK has become the newest of their websites to convert to RedDot.
“As all European Tupperware Sites wanted to adhere to a standard format, RedDot software provided us with the content management system (CMS) to standardise the look and feel for all countries with a set of templates. This allows our non technical people to edit, develop and maintain each Web site, and once generated the site becomes live. The UK was able to complete an impressive, user friendly website within one month.” Heather Maclennan, IT Supervisor, Tupperware UK & Ireland.
